AYuTe Africa Challenge Tanzania 2023 – $20,000
The AYuTe Africa Challenge awards cash grants to support promising young agritech innovators across Africa who are using technology to reimagine farming and food production across the continent.
Each year, Heifer International invests more than US$1.5 million to accelerate digital agriculture entrepreneurship in Africa — a transformative force we call AYuTe.
In 2022, the AYuTe Africa Challenge is expanding its role as an African agritech accelerator. New national competitions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal and Uganda are offering young innovators a chance to secure the funding and visibility to scale their ideas and ambitions.
AYuTe Africa Challenge Tanzania is part of the national edition of the AYuTe Africa Challenge and is open to youth agritech innovators across the country.
Innovations will focus on improving production, productivity, income, access to finance, and resilience, with awards provided to three standout young agritech innovators through a pitch competition.
The challenge is an initiative of Heifer Tanzania, which is working closely with Sahara Ventures to run the competition. Sahara Ventures will employ its expertise in business acceleration to develop a strategic direction for youth, agriculture, and technology in line with Heifer Tanzania’s mission and approach.
Prizes total $20,000 in cash awards for the top three winners:
- 1st > $10,000
- 2nd> $6,500
- 3rd> $3,500
