Cuban Government Scholarship Programme 2024-2025 for Ugandan scholars

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandan scholars to pursue studies at Undergraduate level in the Cuban Government Scholarship Programme 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Terms of Scholarship

Studies are conducted in Spanish language. The successful candidate will be required to do a one year language course and six years for the course. The successful candidate will also be required to meet the cost of air ticket to Cuba. The Ministry of Education will meet the cost of the return air ticket as well as the cost of travelling for the midterm break.

The Parent/Guardian is required to provide the candidate with pocket money of at least a minimum of $50 per month throughout his/her study period.

Eligibility for the Cuban Government Scholarship Programme 2024-2025

1. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 principal passes at ‘C’ level for A-level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology; and must have obtained their results not more than two years ago.

2. Applicants must not be more than 25 years of age. Students currently at Public Universities on Government sponsorship or any other Scholarship need not apply

The application form can be downloaded from the Website of the Ministry of Education and Sports: www.education.go.ug, or can be handwritten with a recent passport photo attached. The application should indicate age, sex, course, home district, telephone contact, an email address and photocopies of academic certificates; and addressed to:
