The State Department for Labour and Skills Development in collaboration with the State Department of ICT &
Digital Economy – Ajira Digital Program invites applications for the https://www.labour.go.ke National Online Work Readiness Skills Training Programme to be delivered virtually.

The objective of the programme is to equip young people with the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes for
digital/online work to enable them access decent work and earn an income from the Gig & Freelancing Economy.

The training will be virtually conducted for 5 Days (one week) each from 8.00AM – 4.30 PM and will cover Cross-cutting, Basic & Advanced Modules of the Ajira Digital curriculum. The Basic modules to be covered are Transcription, Data Entry & Content Writing.

The Advanced Modules to be covered are Search Engine Optimization & Basic Graphic Design. The cross-cutting modules to be covered will include: Introduction to Digital & Digitally Enabled work, Personal Digital Profile Creation, Online Work Safety & Data Protection, and Soft Skills. The training will be followed by a 4-Weeks flexible mentorship program which will be fully virtual which will entail 2 virtual sessions per week each on a 2 hours duration & chat-based mentorship. At the end of the mentorship program, there shall be a Job Linkages webinar & a graduation thereafter. (Note that certificates shall be awarded to trainees who fully complete the training and mentorship sessions)

i. A Kenyan citizen;
ii. Age: 18-35 years
iii. Proficient in computer skills
