Makerere Law Journal (MLJ) Vacancies 2023-2024
The Makerere Law Journal (MLJ) is pleased to announce the opening for applications for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the 2023-2024 Editorial Board.
As a student-led Journal, it considers, reviews, and publishes submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. The Editorial Board, headed by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Editor-in-Chief, plays a crucial role in this process.
POSITION DETAILS
- Editor-in-Chief
Prospective applicants must be students of the Makerere School of Law in their fourth year of study. The Editor-in-Chief will provide strategic leadership to the editorial board, oversee the review and publication process, and uphold the Journal’s reputation for excellence.
APPLICATION PROCESS
All interested students are encouraged to apply for these positions. To be considered, please send your letter of application to appointments@makererelawjournal.org and cc: editorial@makererelawjournal.org no later than Friday, 28th July 2023.
Applications should be submitted by the specified deadline to receive due consideration.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants will be subject to interviews by an Appointment Committee.
The committee will carefully consider the skills, qualifications, and experience of each applicant to make informed decisions.

As a student-led Journal, it considers, reviews, and publishes submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. The Editorial Board, headed by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Editor-in-Chief, plays a crucial role in this process.
Prospective applicants must be students of the Makerere School of Law in their third year of study. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief will work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and assist in managing the editorial board’s day-to-day operations, coordinating the review process, and ensuring the Journal’s high standards are maintained.
