NBA Future Basketball Operations Stars Program 2023-24
Have you ever wondered what it takes to work for an NBA team? Do you have at least 3 years of elite or collegiate working or playing experience? Are you eager to learn more about the business of basketball? Are you interested in gaining exposure to basketball leaders and professionals? If so… this is the program for you!
The NBA Future Basketball Operations Stars (FBOS) program is committed to driving greater diversity within the NBA ecosystem. FBOS is designed to attract, develop, and pipeline diverse talent for future leaders in basketball operations.
This is a 12-month professional development program where participants will receive six-months of virtual training, followed by a six month, in-person NBA team placement. Applicants who move forward in the process will be invited to complete a video interview, and finalists will be notified in late April.
FBOS provides trainees with opportunities to learn about various components of basketball operations, from industry experts and leaders. Trainees will be mentored by league office executives and participate in sessions designed to spark self-awareness and highlight behaviors and skills that contribute to success within the basketball operations ecosystem.
The FBOS program for the 2023-24 season consists of virtual training that will take place over 6 months. Those who successfully complete their training will be given opportunities to connect with NBA and affiliate league teams (G League, WNBA, BAL, and 2K League) to explore potential employment opportunities.
