Old Mutual Namibia Foundation Chair & Desk Initiative 2023
What is the Old Mutual Foundation?
The Old Mutual Foundation is Old Mutual Namibia’s corporate social investment vehicle annually funded by 1% of Old Mutual’s after-tax profit allocation which aims to deliver a wide range of social initiatives throughout Namibia.
The social responsibility framework provides strategic guidance to social investment initiatives and programmes. The framework provides a common approach to social investment activities across the various Old Mutual Namibia operations and aligns with the responsible business framework.
What is the purpose?
- To contribute to greater access to financial services for those previously excluded from these services
- To contribute to improved financial awareness and financial well-being at all levels of society
- To contribute to the promotion of entrepreneurship and growth of small, medium and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs)
- To support national and local developmental priorities in the communities in which we operate
The Chair & Desk Initiative takes a sustainable approach by repairing broken chairs and desks, maximizing the use of existing resources. Additionally, we will provide new furniture to schools in need, ensuring durability by reducing the need for frequent replacements.
