Head – Employee Value Banking (EVB)
Responsible for ensuring Employee Value Banking’s strategy development,to determine achievement of expected performance levels and appropriate market growth in line with the Bank’s strategy.
Responsibilities
- Formulates and participates in annual financial and sales budgets and reviews as appropriate. Monitors the achievement of key financial and business targets for EVB and wider Personal and Private Banking.
- Responsible for signing new asset scheme agreements with companies in order to grow the Banks assets and increase liabilities books.
- Aggressively drives limit utilization and general take up in schemes and conducts analysis of the portfolio performance on a regular basis, recommend and implement improvement actions.
- Analyse competitor information and use it to determine areas to leverage on as well as identify opportunities.
- Drive the Ecosystem strategy to maximise client acquisition and supports in designing processes that make it easy for clients to access and utilise Bank solutions.
- Identify administrative process gaps and re-engineer for efficiency.
- Maintain a profitable portfolio and Credit Loss Ratio within set annual budget.
- Consistently ensure proper staffing levels and drive development of team to enhance efficiency.
- Deliver the annual EVB headlines budget and grow asset base per EVB year budget.
- Prepares and presents documentations for submission to governance forums and Committees to obtain approval for EVB schemes and product developments.
- Maintain operational losses within set budget and deliver provisions and arrears figures within set budgets.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Commerce or equivalent. A professional qualification such as MBA is an added advantage.
- A Certificate of Proficiency in Short and Long Term Insurance.
Knowledge & Experience
- 7-10 years’ experience in banking or financial services
- Experience in Sales & Relationship Management.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good stakeholder management skills.

Manager – Self Service Channels
Responsible for achieving channel growth targets while also ensuring a consistently good customer experience across the full Stanbic Bank digital ecosystem. The estate includes all customer facing channels, intermediary applications, mobile apps, and peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proactive monitoring of system by completing on time system checks and detailed analysis and resolution on all incidents/request reported/detected.
- Identify repetitive incidents and recommend for permanent solutions.
- Manage third party vendors to ensure smooth operational efficiencies.
- Provide input for monthly reports/dashboard including performance, uptime, revenue.
- Participate in User Acceptance Test activities and project implementation for successful introduction of solutions and new products. Set up of the test environment to ensure its updated as required.
- Participate in designing and reviewing of unit testing and system integration testing (SIT) completed by head office functions or other country teams.
- Participate in deployment of the test scripts onto the relevant systems for automated tests and that manual test scripts are prepared where required.
- Make recommendations for system changes that cause faults on go-live, to the supervisor in terms of rolling back to the previous version or reverting to the backup system. Oversee the roll back or switch over.
- Prepare and provide technical inputs that will be used for communication of functional changes.
- Participate in Business Continuity Management by driving the execution of business resumption testing on all E-Banking systems at least twice a year. Implement corrective actions for gaps identified during Business Continuity Management activities.
- Ensure that standard operating processes, control requirements and risk management frameworks are in place.
- Review assurance and audit reports that relate to the department and participate to the development and implementation of remediation plans.
- Prepare and submit all requirements for control reviews and audits are supplied timeously.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields
Knowledge & Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience at Supervisory level in IT support, business support or product development in a financial/banking environment.
- Good understanding of the technology, systems and processes required to deliver a front-end customer experience and the relationship with digital migration.
- Experience with SDLC including SIT, UAT and change governance.

Specialist, Applications Security
To develop a secure application environment across the Stanbic Bank Botswana environment to improve the application security posture and the cyber security capability maturity.
This includes implementing the cyber security strategy, creating awareness on application security, performance of risk assessments, implementation of various application security controls, incident response planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Information Security strategy and proactively identify application security threats.
- Act as subject matter expert on the approved application security business projects.
- Implement the application security program and responsible for application security consulting with the business.
- Ensure security of applications is incorporated during the architecture and design of applications.
- Coordination of penetration tests this includes identification of priority applications for the penetration tests.
- Performance of Vulnerability scans this includes determining the scan lists with the line of business and IT teams, reviewing results of the foot-print exercise and coordination of remediation efforts with the respective support teams.
- Ensure compliance to the application programming interface (API) standard and other relevant information security standards.
- Provide application security expertise to the line of business and IT teams during risk assessments and remediation.
- Generate management information to clearly articulate the bank’s cyber security exposure.
- Effective stakeholder management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science.
- Information Security related Certification (Preferred -CISSP/CISM/CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner(CASP+), Additional – CompTIA Cyber security Analyst (CySA+) Security Practitioner (CASP+), CompTIA Security+, CEH / CISA)
Knowledge & Experience
- Have knowledge of the Open Web Application security project (OWASP Top 10) and implement accordingly.
