Wesgro Trade Mission to Luanda, Angola 2023/24
Wesgro, in collaboration with Agribusiness Development Corporation, would like to extend an invitation of application for you and your company to be a part of the trade mission to Luanda, Angola.
The mission forms part of Wesgro’s international trade and outward investment mission programmed for 2023/24 and will focus on exploring trade and partnership opportunities in Luanda. The line-up will include networking sessions, and B2B meetings arranged for delegates in accordance with their areas of business.
Why Luanda?
Angola is an important market for Western Cape exporters due to its proximity and the fact that it actively promotes trade and investment with companies from South Africa. It has become one of the largest exporters of petroleum in sub-Saharan Africa, and production has nearly tripled. In addition, it has some of the richest fishing grounds in Africa, especially along the far southern coast.
South Africa exported goods worth R5 billion to Angola in 2020. With Angola’s economy estimated to have grown by 2.4 percent in 2022, the country ranked as South Africa’s 39th largest export market in…(state the year). Research indicates that there is an unexplored opportunity of R459 million for South African exporters.

Interested in joining the mission?
Companies interested in this mission will need to cover flights and accommodation costs. Wesgro will cover the cost of local transportation, networking seminars, and B2B facilitation in Angola.
